parkrun sub 30

Last saturday I travelled up to Heslington for my clubs parkrun league series as it hit the midway point and the 3rd venue of the 5. So thanks to another member of the club and competitor in the station league picking up my request for a lift up to York for this one, we made our way to York sports village. Pre run chat about what we expected from the run and mile long queues for the toilet, made our way to the start for the run briefing.

A quick run around the cycle track before out and back on the pavement before 2 laps back on the cycle track, a very fast and flat course and it showed as the person in 3rd place in the station league sprinted past me to the finish 1 second quicker as I had begun mine.

My watch read 29:46 once I had remembered to actually stop it. Got my barcode scanned and then joined up with the rest of the group for a team photo.

It is a very fast and flat course and one I say should try for a personal best but it is not very scenic.
